XPS booking regulation

Teaching session (click me):

You can continue to book the XPS, but you MUST return the equipment to our TA during the following teaching period. Please relocate the sample to the parking position so that our TA can measure the copper on the sample mount and determine the contamination on the stage.

STATUS: Okay.

  • UPS: Okay
  • Sputtering: fail, filament issue, open circuit on 7 May 2026

    Possible reason: Running at excessively high filament current or emission current for long periods.

  • Charge Compensation: Okay.

  4. Please remember to load your sample one day before your scheduled experiment, preferably between 16:00 and 17:00 for all users unless you have a good track record of usage. Additionally, ensure to retrieve your sample one day after completing your experiment.
  5. Monday morning bookings will be automatically canceled without prior notice. This time is reserved for maintenance and training purposes.
